Manufacturing AI servers for Huawei

Huawei Cloud has outlined how it is building AI infrastructure and developing models for industry applications, with deployments spanning manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, aviation and automotive sectors. The announcement came at the industries summit at Huawei Connect 2025 in Shanghai, where. Now, at the Huawei Connect 2025, the firm has announced new iterations of its 'SuperPoD' AI clusters. These will be the Atlas 950 and the Atlas 960, with the earlier one featuring the new Ascend AI chips, and interestingly, will compete with NVIDIA's Rubin lineup. We'll talk about the Atlas 950. China's domestic AI chips took 41% of the accelerator server market in 2025. New data shows Huawei alone shipped roughly 812,000 AI chip units last. Huawei has recently revealed its long-term chip strategy for the first time, announcing plans to launch some of the world's most powerful computing systems and highlighting China's push to reduce reliance on foreign semiconductor suppliers such as Nvidia. So China can resource internally all the computing power it needs to pursue AI development. Our strategy is to create a new computing architecture, and develop computing SuperPoDs and SuperClusters, to sustainably meet long-term demand for computing power. Last year, I didn't elaborate on that last point.
