In HV and EHV installations and in outdoors MV installations bare busbars and connectors are used and the conductors may be tubular or stranded-wires. In essence, it acts as a crucial junction where the currents from incoming and outgoing feeders converge. Based on their installation location and structure, busbars are categorized into two main types: Outdoor busbars: This type is installed outdoors, commonly used in substations and power plants. Outdoor busbars must be designed to withstand harsh weather conditions like rain, wind, storms, snow.
